About Ms. Chermak

Ms. Chermak has an extensive entertainment background,having come from a family of entertainment professionals,and having herself worked in the entertainment industry,
in feature development, and television production and post-production prior to entering into the legal profession.


Ms. Chermak is also a published songwriter and a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.


She is credited as a contributing editor of the defamation chapter of a legal resource text, and is the author of several articles on intellectual property law published in Valley Lawyer Magazine.

She has been an Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law at the University of West Los Angeles, College of Law, and a guest lecturer on entertainment law at Law School and College campuses across Southern California.

The United States District Court for the Central District;, The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and The United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Chermak has provided assistance to the Los Angeles Superior Court
as a settlement counselor in their VAST program, and their Mediation program,
and has volunteered as a Temporary Judge since 1997.
